Remarks & Notes
BNSF intermodal train S-LBELPK1-15L is already rounding Cajon Pass' Sullivan's Curve, but the rear Distributed Power Units, BNSF Dash 9-44CWs 715 and 4016, are just now rounding the curve leading to Sullivan's at the east end of Cajon. This train has 168 loaded cars (each well in an articulated car is counted as one "car" by the railroad), stretching for 14,551 feet (4.435 km), and has 35,200 horsepower (BNSF ES44DC 7550, Dash 9-44CW 5417, ES44C4 7163 and Dash 9-44CW 4317 up front, ES44C4 6635 and Dash 9-44CW 5118 as the mid-train DPUs, and Dash 9-44CWs 715 and 4016 as the rear DPUs) to get it up and over Cajon Pass' 2.2% grade, and many other mountain grades as well, as it heads from Long Beach CA to Logistics Park Kansas City KS.
