It is only cool for one day...
That kind of sums up this move. This is the 1st time that CN ran power through to the IANR. The CN gave the IANR these 3 ACs a couple of days ago for the release of a 100-car-loaded soybean meal train out of Shell Rock Soy Processing at Butler. Now with the BUWA crew onboard, the train heads for the CN at Waterloo. Kind of neat seeing new pass very old here outside of Shell Rock. I am sure this will be commonplace going forward, but it's cool to see history in the making, no matter good or bad. Once the train got to Cedar Falls and tried to bring up PTC, it was a good reminder of how much things need to be combined to work yet and of the teething pains that will go on. |
