This odd-looking Geep was chopped-nosed by the Maine Central, and at one time was painted in New Haven colors while on lease to Connecticut DOT's Shore Line East commuter service. Interestingly, the first car in this train was a former New Haven 8600-series, Pullman-built, stainless steel-sheathed coach, that appears to have been converted to a cab coach. The corrugations above the windows have been removed, probably to deal with body rot of the Cor-Ten steel side sheets, caused by moisture trapped under the stainless trim. And, for some strange reason, this car sports a raised B&O Capitol Dome logo in it's window panel, just behind the forward vestibule door.
