I think this is one of the Southern Pacific's GP9's with a steam generator they had for passenger service. Great shot Drew I love older pics of the SP!!

Great shot of the torpedo boats on the penninsular commute lines. 3004 and her sisters pulled the Del Monte for many years which was the longest named train in the US. Thanks for such a great picture.
