Nice scene, Alan. It's dark, yet bright, drab, yet colorful.

Alan, your posts today are forcing my comment function into overdrive. This one deserves a full fledged WOW! The lighting is absolutely magical.

Another classic! Love the bits of light on the folliage.

Superb shot, Alan. Beautiful subtle lighting, perfect framing.

Nice shot, Alan. Also shows nicely how diminutive these Stroudley 'Terriers' are. Hard to think the original A1 design dates back to 1872 yet some of these engines were still working in BR revenue service in 1962. Some trivia: 'Stepney' was the first engine to arrive at the Bluebell Railway - the UK's first standard gauge preserved railway - on 17 May 1960 and the only 'real' loco to have it's own book ('Stepney the Bluebell Engine') in the original Railway Series (Thomas the Tank Engine) children's books written by the Rev. W. Awdry.

I love the way the reflection picks up the sunlight that is shining on the front of the stack and dome.
