That's a great looking engine. Looks like she's been taken well care of.
It's rather amazing how many ideal restorations took place with engines
such as these in seemingly great shape.

She looks good now with fresh paint and an awning but she sat in the open in City Park for years. I don't know how easy a resto it would be. I have seen this locomotive several times both in the park and under the awning at the Amtrak station. She looks really good right now but I have seen her looking rough in the park....On the other hand it would be nice to have this Illinois Central Unit running again.
