Now thats awesome!
Now there's a shot you'll never get again! Nice catch.
Fantastic shot, I agree. Pity, though! I was planning to stand on top of tunnel 2 and photograph from there.
Great shot! PCA vote.
Pretty awesome shot Dave.
That's what I would call a "Going Away Shot".
Great coverage, Dave. Nicely captured, as well!
You got that loco FRAMED !
Thanks everyone. Definitely a going away shot, both for the train and tunnel. And, the end of the train tunnel! Hopefully I'll get some more before it's gone.
One picture can explain something better than 1,000 word.
A PCA from me. An excellent shot of a (nearly gone) historic tunnel that'll live on in pictures.
That is an awesome shot! Great job capturing a piece of history.
Think of the steam engines that ran though these tunnels, all the early generation diesels, the cabooses, the Southwest Chief; the list goes on and on. And notice how dry the ground shrubs are, a potential wild fire. As always Dave, your 20D has accurately captured the Pass. See you out there with the Cajon Junkie again soon.
Great lighting and framing Dave, its a shame this historic tunnel won't be soldiering on into the future, looks like they lowered the roadbed to allow taller train cars to pass through back in the day.
Definitely deserving of the PCA! Great shot, Dave.
