Well im glad you got a good pic in La Grange. I was there on day for 8 hours and seen 4 trains. It was raining,Cold & Cloudy. Didnt turn out to be fun!
Phenomenal shot, Gary! I'm so glad to see that you finally made it to La Grange. This place, during my many visits in the past, always had 'Gary Knapp' written all over it at night!
Fantastic shot, Gary! Definitely worthy of 'screeners choice'. Added to that, I'll give you a PC vote too!
Wow Gary..one of your best no doubt.
I would like to thank Chris Starnes for recommending I should visit La Grange. An extraordinary location at night.
Excellent work once again.
Beautiful Shot Gary. Best I have ever seen from La Grange.
Well, I hear its fine if you got the time...
They gotta lotta nice trains!
Have mercy! Excellent, one of your best, Gary.
See you next week on the front page.
This shot absolutely floors me. All the hard work setting up those flashes paid off handsomely!
Spectacular shot. Great work.
Does Mr. Blaszczyk or Mr. Knapp get my PCA. I can't decide so I'll give it to both!
Superb !
Fantastic.
One of your best.
Fantastic shot Gary! The work paid off with a beautifully lit shot; perfectly balanced. Great composition also. This might possibly be your best shot ever published. Nice work.
Wow. Very nice, Gary.
Great Photo!
I really like night shots and this is one of the best I've ever seen! Congratulations!
Very nice shot. The mayor must be a sound sleeper. You need to go back when the Christmas lights are up.
I think that's the narrowest street I've seen with a train on it. Wonderful colors, and I hope the mayor's a railfan too.

This is your best night shot yet! I know I'm the geezer in the crowd, but I have such fond memories of riding the L&N's Pan-American down this street in the early '60s. We would be making good time north of LaGrange, and then there would be a heavy brake application. Before you knew it----we were passing stores, pedestrians and parked autos! A great night time shot back then would have been train 6, the northbound Humming Bird. which eased down this street about 6 AM each morning. Southbound mail and express train number 1 would have passed about 1:45 AM. With a few freights thrown in----you would have been a very busy guy back then!
Everyone else said it Gary! Awesome night shot.
You're getting a well-earned PCA from me on this one. Sure makes me wonder how you set all this up for the shot.

Spectacular picture!
Congrats on getting such an excellent night shot, Gary. I'm sure this will look fantastic blown up to poster size.
Gary - All of your night photos have been great, but this is the cream of the crop so far. You are the O. Winston Link of the 21st Century. Too bad steam no longer runs at night.
This is one of the best shots on RP.net. I been here many times....awesome shot.
Really wonderful shot Gary! Bravo.

Take about downtown, cool picture.
I keep coming back and admiring this photo - is it addictive!
You are lucky to have both the ability and the subjects!
Congratulations on getting the complete trifecta - people's choice, screener's choice, and photo of the week.
This shot is amazing! Great work Gary!
