Posted by J. C. Smith, Jr. on January 9, 2008  Some model decal companies actually offered the Southern Pacific locomotive lettering and numerals in red, so modelers could replicate this appearance of worn off, light gray lettering, exposing the red underneath, as illustrated in this photo!
