Looks like a well-used, snowmobile suicide trail there too. Are they allowed on the right-of-way in Canada? I know they're not in the US.

No, I wouldn't say they're aloud on the right of way, but with the track speed averaging around 12mph, I don't think many people care too much!

Some of those high-speed morons would hit a train if it was standing still, which is why they're generally prohibited from an active right of way. Thanks for the reply Tim (and the good photo too).

Great Picture Tim. I remember many a time crusing the timber in the background of you picture when I was taking Forestry at Sir Sandford Fleming College in Lindsay Ontario. Who knew that after 4 years of doing forestry work, I would give it up and hire on with CP as a conductor!
