Nice shot, Frank. I guess this side-by-side comparison puts to rest the theory that the color differences apparent on different shots of different units of that VIA paint scheme are due to the irridescence of the paint and the angle of the light hitting it. While that may partially account for it, there's obviously some other factors at work here.

If I recall correctly, 917 was sidelined for a while at MMC for some kind of engine/prime mover incident. The paint on her now could be brand new and thus not as faded as that on 918.
Nevertheless...interesting contrast between sister units.
