This 150 cars max must be a new rule because in late 2006 I caught 6 motors headed WB in Neenah, WI with 186 Cars! Shortly after this happened, 2 CN GE's were sighted headed WB with 174 cars.

I don't know if CN ever had a rule like that, if they did then boy has it ever been changed. They've started running 224 car, 32000 ton coal trains from mines in Alberta to west coast ports as of October 2012
