I had a used Mustang similar to the one on the top row, third autorack back, when I was in school in the late 80's. It was a grossly under-powered little car, ugly as sin; but it never broke down while I owned it, unlike my parent's Volare wagon. Now THAT was a POS vehicle...

I had a 1979 Mustang Pace Car. I can't tell for sure from the photo but it looks like one behind the red Escort wagon towards the middle on the top row. I sure wish I still had that car!

1978 from Ford - were those cars going to the showroom, or direct to the scrap yard? Nice catch, Donald - I've tried my hand at capturing cars and trains (a highway scene, for instance), but this photo just speaks volumes.

Now thanks to vandals and idiots who have nothing better to do ( like getting a job ) scene like this will never be seen again. Great shot thanks for sharing. I remember endless lines of these back in those days.
