This picture was a stunner because, I thought EMD had managed to export some tunnel motors without anyone noticing. Then I noticed that horizontal, nose-mounted headlight, and asymetrical windshield (where the L-shaped original was replaced) and realized that it is an ex-SP unit acquired in a used locomotive deal. I don't know if this was one re-engined with a 16-645, but that carbody is from a 20-cylinder SD45T-2. And what a difference in size, compared to the meter-gauge export model coupled behind!

It's nice to see that, by some extreme chain of events, the Durango & Silverton or Cumbres & Toltec ever find themselves with a unit coal train contract and in need of more horsepower, that the do have some motive power options. I bet the MOW department at ALL is checking the crosslevel on all their track two times over!
