Also looks like it had the headlight moved from the nose to the cab, or the sand filler relocated. Needs some finishing paint work.

It still looks good! I remember thinking it would run again when it was at Homewood lettered DMVW.

I too have always been a huge SD45 fan. Sure they may have been gas guzzlers but man did they look good.

The headlight wasn't moved Kleetus, that is where the WC logo on the nose was located.

When that unit was in Waterloo on 12/06, I was hoping to get it on the point of a train. It was one of the few WC units that the paint still looked really good on. Too bad to see them go. Nice shot Alec.

I ran this unit many times as an Engineer for the Wisconsin Central. Although it's sad to see the horrible patch job the CN did to it when they sold it, it's good to see that it's still running.

Seeing and knowing the the former WC SD45's are still able to operate makes me wonder why so many others were just scrapped and/or sold and currently stored. I know I have seen documents with with reports of blown turbo's and other 'minor' issues but they could have an easy repair made and operate again. Great Catch!
