Now a possibility - had the Milwaukee Road's Pacific Extension not gone out of business, the route would probably be under the control of Milwaukee Road successor Canadian Pacific. But thanks to it's inept management who never thought of running a railroad, the Milwaukee is gone and now this shortline railroad is operating in it's place. Today, Canadian Pacific still goes between Chicago and the Pacific via Milwaukee and the Twin Cities on the former Milwaukee Road, only it's now in Canada through Kicking Horse Pass and Rogers Pass to Vancouver.
