I love how the Zephyr is small compared to the desert John! Beautiful shot!

Wow, very nifty shot, John. No doubt deserving of that SC.

Great detail and textures in the landscape really looks nice.

It always amazes me just how devoid of plant life this area is. I don't think I've ever seen a more barren area. Luckily, that doesn't detract from the area's photogenic qualities. Awesome shot!

Great shot, John. One of the more interesting places I've seen in the west. Nary a single tree to obstruct your train! I just wish there were more trains to see here. At least you can depend on Amtrak's #5 and #6 to pass through the Green River Desert in daylight hours.

Very nice. I echo the comments on the vast emptiness of the desert, well done.

This makes me think that this is what a train on the moon would look like. Amazing photo John.

When I first looked at the thumb I thought, oops, somebody goofed, there's no train on that track. But there is a train in the picture and because we all have seen so many pictures of that train we don't really need to see it other than its shape. Yet it's still a train picture and without the Zephyr it would be just a great scenery picture. And I love pictures with the whole train in them. But this is the extreme. Thanks for the effort John.

Outstanding; love how the track in the foreground draws your eye towards the train

Wow, thats great. I agree with the comment about the moon. Even without the train its a neat shot.

"And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep." (-some guy named Robert Frost) Very different and interesting photo Mr. Ryan. Love the color contrast of ROW/train to Utah scenery. Passenger trains on the moon?
|
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles, oh ya. (The Who) Love the scenery, thanks for the shot John.

Wow!!! what a magnificient photo this one is. It gives new meaning to rail pictures. I dont know whether i would be able to view all the graet pictures featured in this site before my time comes.

Since when did Amtrak start their operations on Mars? ;)
