Lovely shot from a classic location - thank goodness Newcastle has a castle! It's just a shame that the diamond crossovers have gone, and that so much of the railway has been swallowed up by car-parks...

Re Prenton's comment, well the only other thing that would make a view like this even better than still having the diamond crossings and no car park, would be if the loco was an 'Original' A1. Ok Class 91 aren't too bad but I liked them best in InterCity Swallow livery! Nice picture Phil,
