I assume you meant the tower and yardmaster's position are being shut down, correct?

In response to CaliforniaRailroader, yes - the tower pictured and the yardmaster positions within it are being eliminated. Rumor has it they'll use cameras instead to see what's going on.

Nice shot Nick ! I had a chance to go up and have a yardmaster's view of the tower at Bailey Ave. early last year while waiting for a CP train to clear CP Sycamore before setting a rip out from our train from the Erie Straight onto North 8 on CN Train 338.
