David, this image is a modern American classic. The composition is perfect, you have broken the (so-called) 'rules' by taking the shade side of the loco and included the bridge, thereby obscuring most of the train. Guess what? It's a far, far more satisfying result you have achieved by being bold. The soft sky, the coastal grasses and the lone figure on the beach complete an image of which you should be rightly proud. Congratulations and needless to say a PCA vote.

I'll echo Steve's comments. The composition is superb and shooting the "dark side" adds so much dramatic energy. I love the way the plume partially obscures the bridge, yet you can still see it disappearing into the distance. Simply beautiful, all around! Voted. ~Wayne

Very cool, "you are there" crisp composition.

Fantastic photo, and I'm all the more impressed because I would have never thought to juxtapose that bridge with the train. With your positioning, they compliment each other perfectly, and I love how that in-your-face bush at lower left rounds out the scene. PCA voted!
