I was looking through my 60's negatives recently and noticed that good, clear, sunny weather seemed more of a rarity back then, or did I just have bad luck? The exhaust from both the 9F and from Ravensthorpe power station's chimney (left distance) would indicate a stiff north-easterly wind instead of the prevailing westerly that was more usual at this location.

Steve - What a classic image. A black and white photo of a steam locomotive when steam was still used to labor on the rails. The clouds, the trailing plume of smoke, the factory in the background......nice job!
