They must have weathered those units themselves, I doubt they have been that color for long, interesting catch.

It'd be nice if a real railroad would use that paint scheme. I like the look of it.

I suspect that BNSF might take exception to the logo on the unit's noses. Judging by the title I ask: Do we need another bad runaway train movie?

Nice picture, I wonder when CP will get these back.
I have to agree, I don't really see how a movie about a runaway train could be all that interesting.

OK, here is the deal:
Directed by Tony Scott, whose latest "The Taking of Pelham 123" is already receiving strong reviews, "Unstoppable" finds a train engineer (Washington) about to be laid off and a cheaper newbie (Pine) arriving to replace him. What should coincidentally occur at this same moment? How about an out of control freight train with enough combustible liquids and poisonous gas on board to knock out a major city? And yes, the veteran and his replacement have to join forces to stop it. Insert edgy action sequences and witty banter and you have a potential hit action flick.

The movie is supposed to be loosely based on the events of the CSX runaway (I believe it may have been in 2000) that was chased down with another locomotive and sucessfully stopped. If I remember correctly, a number of communities attempted to derail the train as it passed; fortunately none suceeded, because as in this movie, a number of cars were in fact carrying hazardous materials.
