Great capture, it almost makes you feel sad for the engines for no reason.

Great contrast between the lit fuel pad and the surrounding darkness, Patrick.

This may be one of the best pictures I have ever seen.
|
This is the weirdest railroad facility I have ever seen. All that space and nothing really there. The extreme design with wide pits and enormous drains are to catch contaminating oil, right? But why so big? Because it's Texas and you can? Great idea doing it at night; I doubt it would be half as interesting during the day.

This reminds me of a theatre, with the locomotives as actors on a stage.
|
The theatre comment is exactly right. What great and peculiar picture.
|
It looks like a maximum security prison for locomotives! But what an interesting picture.
|
Unusual shot. Great catch!

Great shot you need to be very careful that place has security cams. I remember the S.A. Major was on the news saying the new Intermodal yard would bring jobs to Bexar County.
|
Yes it does look like a Prison yard, with the inmates standing around. Great Photo....
Thanks for sharing.

Big MRL fan, 610 is a SD9, or at least was. Great shot of a very lonely locomotive facility.
