Nice shot Dennis! Pete and the crew did a great job on her makeover. If only they had a 3 wheel tender laying around....

Nice roster shot - gives everyone a chance to see all the unique modifications made in transforming "Strasburg #475" into N&W #382 which included, if you look closely - the repainting of the tender back to N&W, application of the #382 cab numbers and headlight glass, a pseudo lower steel plate on the pilot in addition to an additional handrail above the pilot, a new cast #382 plaque on the nose, a borrowed original whistle from B.T. Nichols, along with, perhaps most impressive, a fabricated from scratch (using original schematics) smoke arrestor and stack handles. A nice coat of soot wrapped things up nicely, in addition to the freshly painted white running boards. Quite the transformation! For those who may not have realized, #382 is the engine made famous by O.Winston Link in a daytime photo at Green Cove, VA.

I say the Boston and Maine railroad leased this engine from Norfolk and Western to handle interchange traffic with the Rutland Railroad at Bellows Falls. The heavy snow confirms our location. Thank you for the fantasy Dennis.
