Stunning! This deserves a POTW! My vote for PCA too!
Nice shot, Charles! Great lighting and clouds.
I have been left speechless. I am only able to mutter three letters. P-C-A.
Usually I'm too lazy to vote for a PCA, let alone post a comment, but this is an amazing photo!
Fabulous weather shot, Charles.
Charles,
Well done my friend! That is an amazing shot of the weather with the glow off of the freight cars. PCA vote from me!
Really good job !
I'm still envious! I wish I'd thought of that spot, too. Great job of adapting to the conditions and coming away with a memorable photo.

Nice ! You came away with a winner!

I like the way you used the highway as an integral part of the composition and lighting. It would have been easy to look at the scene and say great sky, great lighting but that damn highway is in the way. But the highway provides the symmetry that makes the composition so successful, to compliment the great lighting. Very nice.

Nicely done!
Big time kudos on PCA #1, Charles!! Great job buddy!
Good job on the PCA#1 and Photo of the week, Charles!
Thanks to all for the kind words! This photo also won the 1st Place award for Color photo in the Revenue Railroading category at Winterail, on March 13, 2010 in Stockton, California!

Well deserved, Charles. And George agrees, too. He runs that stretch six days a week and you got a great capture of it. Congrats.
This is a great scene, Charles. Your use of the parallel highway in the shot is clever.
Astonishing....
