Either this unit is isolated or the amp meter is broken, showing zero amps!

The ammeter shown so because moments before the driver use the dynamic brake and the train was downhill then applied full throttle. The needle climb the delay in the throttle lag.

Are these units set-up for freight or passenger HEP?

I rode behind this unit in Amtrak service for my first ever train ride back in 1985!
