Quite an unusual sight to see- bloody noses in Kansas- a far cry from the usual pacific north west, desert southwest, & in between I'm used to seeing SP/SSW in.

Love those old pig trains, I like to see those things better than any stack train. I think that was 3 days before the end of the SP's life.

I always love seeing those comments about how "unnatural" it was to see SP engines in anything but the PNW or the desert or XYZ, California. They were just as much a part of the lower midwest and south as anything else. Seems like everybody forgets that Cotton Belt owned property EAST of the Mississippi River in at least 2 states.
