What well composed photo of a time honored task that occurred thousands of times back in the steam era. The scenery and vintage rail car is great. I was also lucky to see a similar occurrence during Train Fest in Michigan last summer when Number 75 teamed up with Number 6 (Viscose Railroad 0-4-0). The two mighty yard goats pulled the ailing Pere Marquette 1225 into position for the night photo session. I agree with your caption - it was very rewarding to see the little switchers performing the task for which they were designed.
