Great shot, Dan. I am facinated by what appears to be small islands or possibly old bridge piers running at a slight angle away from the bridge. I wonder if there was another bridge at one time or is this just something nature put there to keep people like me wondering.

Thomas, what you see in the Susquehanna to the right of the bridge is the remnants of the original wooden structure that the PRR constructed in 1849, increasing traffic is what prompted the construction of the massive stone-arch bridge that you see here today.
