This is great, congrats on getting a great night shot! Don't worry about the P42, Amtrak does its best to prevent the perfect shot, but you're night time photography makes up for the small downside of the scene!

Great night shot! I saw a P32-8BHW (i don't know the number) pushing and pulling one of Amtrak's capitols or San Joaquin's the other day. And don't worry about the P42, Amtrak California uses them quite often so you're bound to see one!
