Probably fell asleep whilst loading a car...now they have plenty of work to do!

OK, fans. Everyone grab a shovel and we need to pick up every single pellet. My guess would be that someone caught some flack over this one. Excellent railroad related shot - so unlike so many run shots! Thanks for posting it.

Get out the vacuum trucks!!!!

Those things aren't light either. A few shovels full and you're back is toast.

"Umm...you think it'll pass the scale?..."

Ooops....looks like someone forgot to say, "when"! Thanks for sharing this unique photo.

Epic Fail! LOL! Thanks for sharing!

I think that car could be overloaded.

I'm going to guess Uni-Tac at Forbes, looking northeast. Sad thing is that appears to be a mini-quad. Nothing like taking four cars out at one time. How many of the set were actually buried?

Taconite weighs 150-175lbs per cubic foot, that is some load!

Just a tiny bit overloaded, nothing major!

Thanks for the comments guys! Much appreciated. The pellet bins themselves hold 13,000 tons of pellets when full. This happened due to mechcanical failure, not human error.
|
I do believe this car will most likely need some repair work done after this happened. I sure wonder if any parts or equipment were damaged that were owned at the Taconite Plant that also may need repair. I do have a shovel but I too will have to pass on this one because this may take a while. Great Shot!!

Hey I'm a little fuzzy about the mining industry but that car looks full.

Quote from a scene from the movie Cool Hand Luke. " What's boss John's pellets doing on my train car "
|
Uh, I do also believe this will exceed the Load Weight limit for this Ore Car!?! For those of you who are old enough to remember: "ALVIN!" :-) There's is also: "CARL! You only had ONE job to do...ONE! What were you doing or NOT doing to cause THIS?!" Then again there is also the classic Laurel & Hardy line: "Well, this is another fine mess you've gotten us into!"
