This unit is starting to fade to lavender. This also happened to D&H units with the blue dip and yellow nose scheme. The next stage was the revenge of the old paint, which happened to former Nickel Plate RS11s, (and others) on Norfolk & Western. Then there were many, many Guilford repaints including B&M, D&H, MEC and Springfield Terminal units, from RS3s to GP39-2s.

It seems a lot of the paint scheme's on the D&H were really good looking!
