That's a great shot Robin, the lighting is fantastic! , the winter colours make me feel cold just to look at it I've lost count of the reainy days I've had on the S&C over the years, Trust you retired to the Moorcock Inn for a well deserved pint after pressing the shutter!

Fine shot, makes me shiver.

OK, it's a wedge, but WHAT a wedge! British steam may be trim and tidy, yet there's no shortage of power in this image. Love how the steam conceals the carriages to enhance the feeling of a spirit emerging from a cloud. Thanks so much for posting.

Beautiful! Everything is just right in your photo Robin. Good job.

Outstanding! Worth echoing Ken's comment. A stunner.

Fantastic photo. The detail, the lighting, the steam, the action. Just plain beautiful! My PCA's are used up but this is one of my Favorite Photos.

Outstanding! As perfect a representation of steam as ever could be found in photography. Well done.

Gorgeous image, Robin. Love the wide-open spaces and that look of power and speed. I can't imagine a more perfect angle to take advantage of this light. Well-deserved PotW!

Once in a long while comes a master shot. Once in a very, very, long while comes a master shot on the S&C. This is it! This really is a superb image worth all the accolades it's getting, congratulations Robin.

This is a fantastic shot. Reminds me of when North American RRs had the guts to run steam in the winter. Great composition and love that angry sky in the background! Looks COLD! But worth it! Four Stars!
