I think they used to belong to another leasing company and there are IC marks. It was probably owned by Illinois Central shortly but then CN and IC merged.

I think you are right.The 2004 edition of "Locomotive Roster & News" says that they were part of GE LMSX 727-739 group. This could explain their strange paint job.
