Awesome shot, aged exactly as my father's age. I want to remark that the actually Sweden-based ASEA locomotives that run on CFR (National Company of Railroads) looks like this locomotive you just posted. I recommend you to explore some Romanian rail-pictures so you could understand much better what I want to say.

I, for one, am glad your grades were good enough to allow you to go Europe. You had a most productive time recording the trains you saw that year, here and abroad. I am also glad you had a good camera and knew how to use it. At the time, I was States bound, had only a plastic lens Kodak Starmite and had no real idea how to photograph anything. :-)
