Thank you so much, Jeremy, for sharing your outstanding Santa Fe stuff with the rest of us. As a lover of the older colors on all railroads, and especially the Santa Fe, these pix are really appreciated! I grew up on SF's Harbor Branch in El Nido (Torrance), CA, I got to watch zebra Alco switchers and GP7's in the middle 50's. A few times they even ran the F's past 190th street. Since I was under 10 at the time, the filmstrip in my mind is all I have to remember. Sure wish somebody would post some zebras...

I have met several individuals over the years who "don't like the Santa Fe". As one can easily determine when viewing this delightful image, the aforementioned unfortunates have obviously made a terrible error in judgement. Thank you Mr. Plant for your fantastic images of the one and only AT&SF!

If only Amtrak could have maintained the standards of AT&SF, even those of 1971, how much better long distance train travel could/should have been.
