I heard West Colton was a rough town but dang, you can't even park a diesel without it getting jacked!

Hopefully they will be rebuilt. Be a shame to waste the ACES. Can't see them being used as organ donors as it looks like the major organs have already been donated.

Is the front axle of the rear truck of the rear unit missing? It could be a shadow, but the other wheels are not in shadow and the axle bearings appear to be missing. How is it allowed to travel like that?

David, to answer your first question: Yes, the first axle is missing. To answer your second question: Very carefully.

Yes the axle is there. The units are going to be scraped after litigation is all settled.

It's sad to think there has been a lot of lives lost and torn apart in those locomotives
