Beautiful afternoon light on the nose of 406! It was actually built new for amtrak in the late 80's, part of the last order. Amtrak obtained 410 - 415 from GO.

Most railfans consider this unit as a NPCU, but it wasn't converted because it was rebuilt with a Cat prime over that was used for HEP and it's original number was reactivated in Amtrak's roster.
