I believe your locomotive choice should be EMD SD-7 or SD-9, one of them is right. Great pic though:)

These are SD-24's. Nice Shot Joe. Love the old units.

The 24's were turbocharged, whereas the 7's and 9's were roots blown. If you never had to contend with these beasts, you might not notice the difference. Great shot and caption.
