I was on that 211 local that day, familiarizing with that crew. Everything looked familiar enough for me to go check my tickets just to be sure! I was standing up next to the control stand, looking out the windshield, wishing I had a camera. 511 actually quit on us around that time, so 8716 had to lay down the woop-arse as we ascended the highest point at Gonzales.
