Well it is very obvious to me that James Belmont is the master of railroad photography in Utah! Not to take anything away from the other fine photographic captures of railroading in Utah. Having tried my hand at it a little I know its not easy! Takes time, patience, good knowledge of the railroads and their equipment, what their timetables are(and a good radio scanner) and what times of day are best to make a good capture on a given road. Perhaps most important is knowing where the best spots are for a photogenic capture of trains in their working environment. Here we a nice rural setting and balance of train, framed by town hall, tree, mountains and power poles/lines. Very nice indeed!
