Brian, It's great to see Kenneth's work featured on RP. I know just how good (and relatively unheralded) his wonderful photographs taken in the Pennine hills of Yorkshire and Lancashire are. Hopefully there'll be more to come?

This may well be all that you say it is, however, what I am looking at is a very well manicured rail yard including the station platforms. This says the people were proud of who they were and where they lived and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. I'm sure the people were just as proud of the product of their labors as well. One additional thing. It is photos like this that tell a great human interest story or stories. You look at this and you can sense the stories that are in this photo. I was born and raised in the industrial USA during this time period and I know how we felt and I am sure it was that way in the UK. Call it what you may it is a time to be remembered.

Fantastic, Brian. More please!! Was here the other day with Steve Armitage, changed somewhat Steve! All the foreground has now been cleared to expand the station car park. I suppose we all mourn the view as it was, but it is now a very well used station on the local network, with a real-ale pub in the old refreshment room.
