Couldn't resist the picture. The remarks were very interesting too. I love computers, but also know they are machines, so naturally I have a question. There is a switch so the crew can turn off the computer and manually operate the variations the computer would normally operate?

Very unlikely I think that there's a manual over-ride function. It will almost certainly take numerous sensors and microprocessors to assess the kind of dynamic situation that necessitates the system to be in operation.
