How come this didn't get to be a Screeners Choice awarded pic is beyond me. Awesome photo!

Very Nice Jim. I shot the same train in Holland, but my shots didn't turn out this nice. The lake effect snow really adds to the shot!

Wow! The SC - a lost relic of times past? This is awesome, Jim! One of your all time bests. No hot spots, vibrant colors and the prefect subject. Bonus for breaking of the rule and getting a blue hour sky. Stunning! A Trains "Blue Hour" contest contender for sure.

Nice shot Jim. I saw the 156 a few times last week on P370-1....

I tried out flash photography for the first time last week and I had trouble lighting up just a locomotive and a tree. I couldn't even imagine shooting this! Incredible!

Just a little too late to be the PERFECT Christmas Card. Gets my vote for PCA.

Very well done, Jim! You nailed the composition and lighting and the touch of light snow makes this one a strong candidate for a Christmas card! My vote for a PCA.
|
Another gem, Jim! PCA vote.
|
Very well executed Jim. A PCA vote for sure.

I will echo Mitch's comment. A well deserved PCA coming your way.
|
Super! The reflection of the broken arrow in the water is a nice bonus.
|
Beautiful shot and you totally nailed the timing!
|
I count at least three flash strobes. A very impressive set-up considering that you had to navigate around the water in both snow and darkness while at the mercy of Amtrak being on time or not. I echo the calls for PCA.

Dude that's sweet!!!

Beautiful shot Jim -love the snow falling
