The last time I was here, was two or three years ago. It has not changed very much, except for a lot of track having been removed, but I think the yard office/shack is still up. The new looking bridge is still very much there, but it was likely a lot smoother than it was the last time I crossed it.
The short tendered I1sa's also were the helpers on many grades in the Alleghenies. The olny I1sa left, 4483, is in Hamburg NY. We bought a "new" long haul tender for her a while back to improve her a bit.

I love the weathered look on the buildings. This must be a modelers delight to see. I reminded John that because it was so hazy during that period, the photos he took Aug. 16-18, 1956, were under very balanced lighting conditions, no shadows. Amazing how that renders some 50+ years later in Photoshop, as well as the story they tell with regard to the change in the railroad landscape in America over that time frame.
