Nice shot Georg. Built to last! Both those units could be in a museum yet they are still in service. Speaks volumes for the attention the maintenance crews pays to these units and the care that the operators take when running them. Awesome!

I think the only more interesting thing to see would be the steam switchers that the Swiss modified during World War II to heat the boilers with electricity using a pantograph on the roof. Got any of those left? I am constantly surprised by your railways and want to visit.

@ Sid: Any facilities for electrical steam generation were dismantled after the war. One of the E 3/3 locomotives, the # 8522 is operable as normal "Tiger" for the Sursee-Triengen Railway.
