Gorgeous shot Mitch, best one so far...
This is a great shot Mitch! Love it!
I love the detail you captured of its smoke. Awsome.
I love this shot, Mitch!
Most of us spent time trying to find locations where we would find some light on the nose. You had a different vision and executed it flawlessly. Well done.
The best shot from the trip so far!
When you see a knockout like this, you know who took the photo. Great job!
Beautiful angle and spectacular plume!
Best shot of the weekend. How'd you get them to take the diesel off?

Shot of the weekend.
Best image I have seen of the 765 on these trips so far. Nice.
I knew without looking this was yours, Mitch ... magnificent!
I have deep plume envy...Well done Mitch!
Irrespective of light, angle or location is the power of demonstration. The motive power is totally well demonstrated here, congratulation.
You nailed it Mitch. Great shot!

I spent several minutes looking at and enjoying this photo. Mitch, you selected a great vantage point for this shot and you certainly captured the best possible essence of this iconic locomotive.
Mitch if I had the time.........I still wouldn't be able to get a photo as nice as this one. Lol.
One of the best shots emphasizing a steam locomotive's plume ever. Not only with the texture, but with the lighting and contrast of the background foliage. Nice work!
Beautiful! Excellent timing and composition.
Well done. The best shot I've seen of the 765 from the weekend.
Looks like there is a Sightseer Lounge being deadheaded to Los Angeles.
One of your best, and that's saying something!
(BTW, there must have been a technical glitch on RP's side with that previous comment)
Thank you all for the kind comments - they're much appreciated!

I am late with the comment here (found out you have to be signed in for it to post!):

May not be an M-1 but it'll do. Dynamite shot: impressive light and sense of power in this view.

Undoubtedly the best photo from the NKP 765 series over Memorial weekend. Very, very well done Mitch! A PCA headed your way, without a second thought. Thanks for sharing!
I envy you. This is a magnificent shot. And the junk behind 765 is pretty much hidden.
Great image Mitch, nice work with the tuff lighting!
Given the tricky lighting, I wonder how many still shooters skipped this spot in favor of the front-lit wedge? You opted for the challenge and have pulled it off magnificently. A lot of people could shoot this, but not a lot of people could get it processed like this. Congrats on the PC (x2 this week), Mitch!
Late to the party but no less impressed...WOW, Mitch...wonderfully done!
Great shot Mitch
one Word.................OUTSTANDING!
While your pans are old hat, I find myself coming back to this image again and again. For one, I am jealous that I skipped this spot for Mifflin, but, also, because it's an outstanding photograph that stands on it's own merits with no gimmicks. Impressive.
