Gotta say, is one of the most interesting front end designs ever seen. While remarks comment on Kendo mask inspiration it also looks like Captain Nemo and Flash Gordon might have been involved somewhere along the way.

Anyone else get that ironman mask impression here?

Very nice - and first time I have noticed Japanese calligraphy on the signage!
|
Someone's been watching too many Japanese cartoons - though, it's still pretty compared to the new Talgo car recently delivered to Seattle.

That thing looks like a FISH BOWL!
|
At least it has some personality as a design statement. I like it...reminds me of Flash Gordon!

I second the Jules Verne / Flash Gordon impression. Japanese trains got so futuristic looking that they became old-fashioned
|
And I will third the Flash Gordon reference, first thing I thought. Maybe not the prettiest but the "powers that be" here could learn a whole lot about efficient railroads from them.
