Posted by Michael Berry on October 21, 2013  Gauntlet rail lasts the longest.... just a few weeks ago I photographed rail from 1882 in use gauntlet track on a bridge on an ex-CP branch in Quebec (the Stanbridge Sub) which was in use as part of the Montreal, Maine & Atlantic Railway until a few months ago when Transport Canada basically condemned the whole line.
