Is this preserved ? Give it a few years and it will look like any scrap loco in scrap yard.

Thanks for sharing this photo of one of Pennsy's finest. There were 425 K4s built and only two survived. It's too bad this one is exposed to the elements and being allowed to rust like she is. The other K4s (1361) is in pieces with an uncertain future. In either case, it's too bad these two mighty K4s are in the conditions mentioned.

I have heard, and others may know more, that the RMoP is going to construct a roundhouse around their turntable to house many of these locomotives that are currently exposed to the elements. Great news for preservation, not quite a great for photography. But we'll see ... The museum's indoor displays now are fairly shootable.

Wish 3750 was up and running again! Maybe imagine having 3750 doubleheading with 611 from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Chicago, Illinois.

Wish 3750 could be up and running again, and perhaps a doubleheader NS steam excursion with 611 and 3750 from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Atlanta, Georgia would be epic!
